We’re done!

We finished with 6 minutes to spare…good luck to all the Rails Rumble 2008 teams!

It is almost ready!

Well, 2 hours remain.  We’re working on one final feature.  Most of the major bugs and issues are gone!  We had to eliminate some things from the original specification to make it happen in time, but I think everyone on the team is happy with what we accomplished.

Once the contest is over, I’d like to post what we did wrong, what we did right, and what we might have changed.

5 hours left, man are we grumpy.

With just 5 hours left, the deadline looms.  Some bugs and some features and some discussion of feature eliminations!

twitter and concise language

How do you write something for twitter without making it into lolspeak?

404 and 500 pages

We just added a fun easter egg to our 404 and 500 pages, our friend Jeff (Krux) from thcnet.net wrote a cool Zork emulator that we were able to iframe in.  Have fun with some classic gaming goodness!

96 commits at the halfway point

Most other teams are around 200…I wonder if we’re abnormal?

Writing marcom text as a DBA

It really isn’t as easy as you think.  I guess there is a reason people get English and Marketing degrees after all.  We decided that we weren’t going to have much time to be clever, so we went for functionality.  All of the text on our site is sparse, informative, and very definitely not marketing-ish.  We hope you like it. :)

Progress, it comes slowly but surely

We’ve got our style done, the back end pretty much done, and a sooper sexy feature from Nate that will take the look and feel to the next level.  Tomorrow will be massive testing of what the coders work on tonight (they took naps during the day for an all nighter) and what the designer finishes up this evening.  Will Lynn’s work survive 4 operating systems and 7 browsers?!

Our tagline, its great!

I <3 Games, STOP PLAYING WITH YOURSELF!

Day 2 and we’re kicking ass

So we’ve got most of our framework done, and the design is about to get pushed too…this thing is going to be awesome, and believe me FULLY tested.  I have a lot of time on my hands, and a lot of browsers on my machines.
